About the Course
Most questions in social and biomedical sciences are causal in nature: what would happen to individuals, or to groups, if part of their environment were changed? In the course, the world-renowned expert Donald Rubin (Prof. em. Harvard) presents statistical methods for studying such questions.

The course fees cover the three-day lecture by Donald Rubin, accommodation for three nights in double-bedrooms, breakfast, a light three-course business lunch at noon, and a five-course dinner in the evening.

6. Swiss Conference on Data Science (SDS) und GEOSpatial Data Day 2019

Am Freitag 14. Juni 2019 findet die 6. Swiss Conference on Data Science (SDS) im Kursaal Bern statt. Am Donnerstag 13. Juni 2019, findet der GEOSpatial Data Day 2019 als Vorkonferenz an der Berner Fachhochschule statt

Es können Vorträge, Workshops und Roundtables zu wissenschaftlichen Themen und für Business eingereicht werden. Deadline ist der 15. Februar 2019.

Die SSS ist mit Niels Hagenbuch im akademischen Programm-Komitee vertreten, Rodolphe Dewarrat (IMSD) ist im Business Komitee.

Anmeldeschluss für die Teilnahme ist am 7. Juni 2019.
