Section Education and Research

Goals

of the Section Education and Research.

The Section "Education and Research" of the SSS (SSS-ER) was founded in 2003. It unifies statisticians active in education and reserach. The main goals include the organization of courses and conferences in mathematical and applied statistics, the assistance for the organization of the Swiss Statistical Days, as well as the coordination and support of education programs in mathematical and applied statistics.

Die Sektion "Lehre und Forschung" der SSS (SSS-ER) wurde 2003 gegründet. Sie vereinigt StatistikerInnen, die in Lehre und Forschung tätig sind. Ihre Hauptziele beinhalten die Organisation von Kursen und Tagungen in mathematischer und angewandter Statistik, die Mithilfe bei der Organisation der Schweizer Statistiktage und die Koordination und Förderung von Studienprogrammen in mathematischer und angewandter Statistik.

La section "enseignement et recherche" de la SSS (SSS-ER) fut fondée en 2003. Elle réunit des statisticien(ne)s actifs dans l'enseignement et la recherche. Les buts principaux comprennent l'organisation de cours et de conferences en statistique mathématique et appliquée, l'assistance lors de l'organisation des journées Suisses de statistique, ainsi que la coordination et le support de programmes d'études de statistique mathématique et appliquée.
