Die Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Statistik (SSS) fördert die Anwendung und die Entwicklung der Statistik in der Schweiz, vertritt die Interessen der auf diesem Gebiet tätigen Personen in Praxis, Forschung und Lehre und trägt zur Anerkennung der Statistik als eigenständige wissenschaftliche Disziplin bei.

Corinna received her PhD in psychology from the University of Bern, Switzerland. Currently, she holds the position of associate professor for methods and statistics at the Faculty of Psychology of UniDistance Suisse. She has been serving as the president of the Swiss Statistical Society since 2022.

Rachel is a postdoctoral fellow in meta research at the Center for Reproducible Science, University of Zurich. She holds a PhD in statistics from the University of Zurich and worked as a statistician in the data team of the Swiss National Science Foundation before finding her way back to research. Her research interest revolve around open science, reproducibility and research evaluation. She is a member of the committee of the SSS since summer 2020.

Laurent ist Professor für Applied Statistics and Modelling (ASAM) sowie Vorsteher einer Forschungsgruppe der Fakultät der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften der Universität Freiburg im Üechtland. Seine Lehrerfahrung umfasst Bereiche in Mathematik und Ökonometrie, einführende Statistik, Erhebungsstatistik, angewandte Statistik sowie angewandte Ökonometrie. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt heute auf der Erhebungsstatistik sowie Spezialmethoden der angewandten Statistik, wie Lohnungleichheit, Causal Effects Estimation, Imputation and Matching Methods sowie Fuzzy-Statistik.

Marc Gindraux, master's degree in mathematics and postgraduate in Statistics from the University Neuchâtel, is vice director of the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (SFSO) and head of the division “Territory and Environnement”. He has been serving as the President of the organisation committee of the Swiss Statistics Meeting since 2019. He is also a member of the Ethics Council for official Statistics.

Antonietta is Professor of Statistics, founder and director of the Data Science Lab at Università della Svizzera italiana, Lugano. She is also adjunct professor at University of Insubria, Italy and Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She has been nominated fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis and is member of the board of the Office of Federal Statistics, and of the Harvard Data Science Review. Her current research focuses on data science and Bayesian computational statistics, with a clear interdisciplinary scope with applications to life sciences, social sciences, finance and economics. She has won awards for excellence in both research and teaching. Antonietta is involved in public outreach both as an organizer of events and as a speaker and through the media is engaged in the strengthening of the culture of data science.

Daniel Kilchmann received a master’s degree in mathematics from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne from EPFL. He is deputy head of the Statistical methods unit of the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (SFSO). He is a member of the committee of the SSS since summer 2020 and he is the treasurer of the Swiss Statistical Society and of the Swiss Statistics Meeting.

Dr. Dominik Pfluger, PhD in Biology University of Berne, postgraduate in Statistics from University Neuchâtel and diploma of data science at ZHAW Winterthur. Consultant in medical statistics and SAS programming since 1995. He has published and co authored many scientific publications in the area of epidemiology, oncology and orthopaedic research. His main interest in statistics are random effects models. Has been serving as the President of the section BI since 2019.
