Academic position in ‘Statistical methods for behavioural sciences’

Introduction
The Methodology of Educational Sciences Research Group of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of KU Leuven – University of Leuven has a vacancy for a full-time position in the domain of statistical methods for behavioural sciences. KU Leuven is a leading academic institution in Europe and its mission is to realize excellent academic education, research and societal services.
Domain
The Methodology of Educational Sciences Research Group does research on quantitative, qualitative and mixed research methods for the behavioural sciences, in particular for the educational sciences. With respect to quantitative methods, we study statistical models and techniques for single-case experimental studies, meta-analysis and learning analytics. In addition, we develop digital qualitative methods to study educational problems. Links between the quantitative and qualitative research lines are the handling of educational data collected via digital technologies, mixed single-case research and mixed research synthesis.
The group is also responsible for statistical and methodological courses in multiple educational programs in the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.
The candidate is expected to strengthen and enrich these research lines, by developing a research program on the domain of statistical methods and modelling based on behavioral science data. Working with data collected by digital tools is an added value.

für die Weiterentwicklung und Implementierung des Surveillance, Outbreak Response Management and Analysis System (www.SORMAS.org) zu besetzen. SORMAS nutzt moderne mobile Informationstechnologien zur frühzeitigen Aufdeckung und effizienteren Eindämmung von Epidemien, insbesondere in Afrika, und wird vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) und der Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) gefördert. Statistician interested in the design and analysis of (adaptive) clinical trials at the Geneva University Hospital in Geneva

Are you an enthusiastic statistician? Are you interested in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and the application of modern and innovative statistical methods?

Geneva University Hospital and Faculty of Medicine, Geneva, Switzerland, is looking for a Statistician interested in the design and analysis of (adaptive) clinical trials in the infectious diseases domain.

Our international team consists of infection prevention nurses, two IT specialists, a number of research fellows, and a core staff of one epidemiologist and four senior infectious disease doctors with clinical and research duties. Our research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention and control, and infectious diseases. We participate in a number of large European consortia, including ECRAID-Base, a novel EU project focused on the development of a clinical research network, which will implement observational and randomized (adaptive) studies. You will provide statistical support for ECRAID-Base through the design and analysis of diagnostic, preventive and treatment studies, and engage with the local team for advice and analysis of observational study data. Post-Doc position in causal graphical models

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Basel.

The position will be based in the Statistical Science group under the mentorship of Prof. Giusi Moffa. The post will provide the opportunity to carry out research on causal graphical models, with potential applications in epidemiology and biomedicine.
