to join the Sexual and Reproductive Health Research Group.

The position is to be filled for the various epidemiological research and development activities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This includes
- Design and implementation of several epidemiological studies
- Further development and implementation of the Surveillance, Outbreak Response Management and Analysis System (www.SORMAS.org, www.sormas-oegd.de/)
- Design, implementation and analysis of serological surveys 
- Performance of evidence synthesis and 
- Various developments and implementation of other digital health tools (e.g. PIA: www.info-pia.de).

Epidemiologist / Statistician (80-100%)

The Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM), University of Bern, employs over 100 staff, provides undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and carries out research in a range of disciplines relevant to clinical epidemiology and public health.

We have a vacant position as

Epidemiologist/Statistician (80-100%)

to contribute to projects about the scale up of antiretroviral therapy in sub-Saharan Africa, including the spread of drug resistance to HIV and tuberculosis, the delivery of differentiated health care models, and the correction of mortality estimates through tracing of patients lost to follow-up. The projects are funded by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Requirements:

- interest in applied research in the areas of epidemiology, biostatistics and HIV
- a Master degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. statistics, computer science, mathematics)
- Expertise and experience in statistical analysis and programming techniques, preferably in Stata/and or R

Senior (bio-) statistician 80-100%

The Department of Clinical research, University Hospital Basel, is looking for a motivated, experienced, (bio-) statistician to start immediately or upon agreement.

Work will include the planning and implementing of clinical and epidemiological studies in an academical setting, from design to interpretation and publishing. Experience with causal and longitudinal models would be of an advantage.
